Music Ministry
We have an extensive Music Ministry, and I would like to personally invite you to become a part of it. There is something here for each and every member of your family. Our Special Music Presentations serve as an outreach to the entire community, and we invite you to experience them for yourself!

Choirs
Celebration Choir, meets at 7:30 pm on Wednesday nights and is for adults 18 and older. This choir leads at the 10:45 am worship service on Sunday and presents special programs throughout the year.
Senior Adult Choir, meets at 11:00 am each Tuesday and is for adults 55 and older. This choir presents programs in and outside the church.
Student Choir, meets at 4:45 pm on Sundays and is for students, grades 7-12. This choir utilizes extensive choreography and presents a Christmas and spring program.
Children’s Choirs, grades 1-6, are part of Kidzone on Wednesday nights. These choirs meet from 6:00 pm –7:30 pm for four weeks in the fall and for seven weeks in the winter, culminating with a children’s musical presentation.
Preschool Choir, meets at 6:00 pm on Wednesday nights for ages 3-5.
Other Groups
Celebration Orchestra is a group of string, wind, brass, and percussion musicians who meet on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm. This group is for 10th grade and older. The orchestra plays for the morning worship service and accompanies the choir for special music programs.
Celebration Ringers, adult handbell choir, meets at 4:15 pm on Sundays and is for adults 18 and older. This choir plays for worship and plays outside the church.
Ensembles, smaller groups within the adult choir, meet as needed to prepare to sing for worship.
Drama Team, is a group that meets as needed to prepare drama for worship and special programs.
Special Presentations
During the course of the year, First Baptist Smyrna presents many musical programs. Our Adult, Children, Youth and Senior Adult Choirs have special programs. The Celebration Choir and Orchestra and Drama Team present musical dramas throughout the year, as well as singing and leading worship on Sundays.
The Glory of Christmas, is a holiday music/drama extravaganza presented by our choir, orchestra, and drama team
Spring Musical, is an annual event that centers around Easter or a worship emphasis, presented by our choir and orchestra.
Celebrate America, is an every other summer presentation of our choir and orchestra, a good old fashioned “star-spangled” celebration.
Gospel Music Celebration, presented in August by our choir, orchestra, ensembles, and soloists. A fun night of toe-tapping gospel music.
