Core Values
Core Beliefs
1. About God
We believe that God is the creator and ruler of the universe. He
has eternally existed in the three personalities: the Father,
the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and are
one God. God deserves and desires our worships.
2. About Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal
with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered
Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by
dying on a cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate
his power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will
return again some day to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
He is God’s only provision for our salvation.
3. About the Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and
the Son. He is present in the world to make men and women aware
of their need for Jesus Christ. He is God, present and active
in every believer’s life, providing power for living, understanding
of spiritual truth, and guidance in doing what is right. He gives
every believer a spiritual gift when he or she is saved. As believers,
we seek to live under his control daily.
4. About the Bible
We believe that the Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by
human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit.
It is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs and living.
Because it is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture
of error.
5. About Salvation
We believe that salvation is God’s gift to us. We can never make
up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting
in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness, can a person be
saved from sin’s penalty. When, through faith in Christ, a person
turns away from self-rule and turns to God-rule, he or she is
saved. Eternal life begins the moment the believer places his
or her faith in Jesus Christ.
6. The Church
We believe that the church is the body of Christ and that Jesus
Christ is the head of his body. The church is Jesus made visible
to the world. The church is comprised of regenerate (reborn through
faith) members. God has ordained the church to be the agent for
delivering his message of redemption to a lost world.
Core Values
1. We value genuine, meaningful worship. The worship of God is the single most important thing we do. We intend for our worship experiences to be Spirit-led and Christ-centered. Not only does God deserve our worship, but he desires it. God is the honored guest at each of our services.
2. We value reaching others for Christ.
We strive to share the message of salvation through evangelism
and missions, locally, nationally, and internationally.
3. We value spiritual growth. It is the responsibility of every believer to grow. One of the key ways we grow is through Christian education—Bible study and age-appropriate discipleship opportunities.
4. We value church membership
The main difference between attenders and members is commitment.
Membership defines who can be counted on. It identifies our family.
And membership produces spiritual growth. Accountability is an
indispensable aid to spiritual growth.
5. We value community.
What makes our community distinct is that it is a faith community.
This faith community is the product of friendships built around
common goals in life and ministry.
6. We value biblical stewardship
As creator, God is the owner of all things. As his children, God
entrusts us with extensive resources and gives us the responsibility
of managing all he has put at our disposal. We are called to
be generous stewards of our money, time, and abilities.
7. We value service
When God calls us to receive the gift of salvation, he simultaneously
calls us to service. Every single believer should serve in some
capacity. No believer is exempt. We serve the Lord by serving
others. We strive to be servants to our community.
